The story behind:

Sítío (farm) Três Barras is located in the municipality of Simonésia, in the region of Matas de Minas in the state of Minas Gerais. It neighbors the Natural Heritage Private Reserve Mata do Sossego Biological Station, where the largest primate in the Americas lives, the Muriqui do Norte.

The history of Sítío Três Barras began 6 generations ago, but it was the last 3 that began to focus on coffee quality.

However, it was Horácio António de Moura who made Sítio Três Barras recognized nationally and internationally for the high quality of its coffees, winning regional, state, national and international awards. His relentless dedication to the production of unique coffees has earned him a curious nickname in the region: Noventão – a Portuguese word meaning the great ninety, alluding to its award-winning coffees that more than once achieved an incredible score of over 90 points in the SCA protocol.

Due to the consistency of his work, Horacio won a permanent seat at WOW, and he continues to surprise us year after year with better and better coffees.

It is always a pleasure to visit the property to taste what Horácio has produced every year we go to Brazil.

What awaits us for this next harvest?
